What runs locally
Video import, transcription, AI analysis, editing and export all happen on your own computer. Your source video and generated clips are never uploaded to us or any third party as part of the core workflow.
What we do process
To operate your subscription, our lightweight backend handles only:
- Your account email and authentication.
- Subscription and license status (via our payment provider, Stripe/Paddle).
- Optional, opt-in anonymized product metrics (e.g. number of projects created) — never the content of your videos.
- Optional, opt-in crash reports to help us fix bugs.
Third parties
Payments and billing are handled by our payment provider. If you connect a publishing account (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram), OAuth tokens are stored encrypted in your operating system's keychain, on your device.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing hello@velocecut.app.
